Sam left for Stanford in 2002. A year later Dean had to kill a father in front of his teenage son. I can’t stop imagining Dean going back to his empty motel room, getting out his phone because he needed to hear his baby brother’s voice, then deciding not to call because he knew Sammy didn’t want to hear about hunting
At first I sort of hated how much younger than the pilot Dean they made him seem via VFX, but comments like the one above kind of sell me on the idea of a Dean who still looks like a child and what Sam’s years at Stanford cost him.
he’s also in low light, which will make anyone look younger, so I think they were compensating for that when they aged him back
I need to remember to work on my own writing every day, even if it’s only 100 words. Even if I just open one of the WIPs and read through it and fix typos and tighten sentences. Even if what I’m writing is a contemptible self-insert wish-fulfillment fantasy that will never see the light of day.
WRITE IT MAKE THE THING HAPPEN.
